There have always been questions surrounding the media's language surrounding issues of race. Either they ignore it completely, choose a spokesperson, or miss the boat entirely. How will the media's coverage of race change, or will it now that we are supposedly living in a post-racial society? Tell us what you think.

There is always an excuse to why the media does not cover race as it should. I do not think much will change anytime soon, but anything is possible.... I think the media will continue to ignore race with using the excuse that race does not matter- for we are all equal. We are all equal, but that does not exclude the fact that we come from different backgrounds and cultures. Race should be embraced rather than ignored. If the media is afraid of talking about race and so they ignore it, then that proves that we are not living in a post-racial society in the hearts of many people. Actions speak louder than words.
Devona just did a story on "taxed for being black" and it helps show how such stories concerning race are avoided by other media.
