Anthem Blue Cross Asked To Justify Rate Increase

According to The Los Angeles Times, Anthem Blue Cross is being asked to justify its move to increase individual policy holder fees in California by up to 39 percent.
The changes are to go into effect on March 1st and should reach about 800,000 policy holders. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius sent a letter to the company highlighting her malcontent with the insurer.

Our premium for our individual policy went up $500 it is now 1 1/2 the amount of our mortgage it is our largest family expense and when I was hospitalized they only paid half the bill and left us with $10,848.00 in medical bills to pay. Someone needs to stop them. They operate with no rules or regulations showing higher profits then the oil companies.
