CBS Urged Not To Run Anti-Abortion Ad In Super Bowl

According to Reuters, CBS is gaining attention prior to Super Bowl weekend with usual talk about expected commercials to be run during the broadcast, but controversy is stirring over an anti-abortion ad.
Women's groups in the U.S., among other political organizations, are pushing for CBS to keep from airing an ad that will feature a popular NFL star and his mother supporting anti-abortion. The network has tended to stay away from politically motivated ads in the past.

On Monday, June 28, the U.S. Supreme Court struck down a Chicago handgun ban in a far-reaching ruling that makes it unconstitutional for states and local governments to restrict the right of Americans to own guns.
The 5-4 majority ruling extended to all cities and states the Supreme Court's 2008 landmark affirmation that Americans have the constitutional right -- as enshrined in the Second Amendment -- to own weapons, including handguns.
