HIV Vaccine Trial More Important Than Thought, Scientists Say

Scientists said in September they had developed an HIV vaccine that protected 31 percent of adults ages 18 to 30 in their trial, but it wasn't a clear victory. Now, after the results were published at a Paris conference, they're saying the results of the trial lead them to believe they will, in fact, be able to develop an effective vaccine for HIV one day. Still, questions and problems remain, including that many admit the tested vaccine would not work in Africa. (BBC)
