Kennedy Center Launches Arts Programs For Public Schools

Some students in Sacramento, California, will be the first in the country to participate in a new arts programs launched by the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Officials from the center plan to study the arts curriculum two school districts offer now and what arts organizations in the city offer, then create a long-term plan for giving students in kindergarten through eighth grade more comprehensive art education.
The Kennedy Center calls the program Any Given Child. If it works well, it may spread to other school districts and states. (The Sacramento Bee)
