According to ABC News, Comcast and NBC recently defended their new deal emphasizing that their intentions are not in violation of anti-trust laws.

Comcast will gain control of NBC Universal in the deal, although the two companies are active in different forms of media. Competitors' main concern is that this could eventually turn into domination similar to a monopoly.
