According to The Associated Press, President Barack Obama has released a statement announcing his plans to donate $1.4 million of his Nobel Peace Prize to several causes.

Survivors of the Haiti earthquake, veterans and their families, and students will all be included as several organizations will receive and disburse the awards. Veterans Administration hospitals and the Clinton-Bush Haiti Fund are among the organizations.
