Just as in the case of a rock star, the media covers every moment in President Barack Obama's daily life, causing amazement of the change he's already brought to the United States.
TheLoop21.com's Marvin King talks to Prof. Randall Swain about the politics of President Barack Obama's first 150 days and the different levels of expectations people have for him. Swain discusses how Obama has yet to face the issues central to the black community and why the far left is so disappointed with him.
Because of the "change you can believe in" motto during the elections, people expect instantaneous change, Swain said. But it is far too early to tell whether he has or will keep his promises. Swain goes on to talk about how Obama has changed the reputation of the U.S. and how Americans are becoming more sensitive to how the world views them.
With all the tension between Congress and the Democratic Party, Swain discusses the normality of the situation and how it will not break Obama or the Democrats.
