According to BBC News, the problem of domestic violence will be added to the school curriculum in England in addition to the lengthy list of issues now being taught under what is called PSHE (Personal, Social health and economic education).
The addition accompanies issues including drug awareness, bullying, sex education, healthy living, personal finance, body image and careers advice as topics to be educated. PSHE is currently not a requirement, but if legislation advances, it will begin in 2011.
