Bradley Lockhart's allegation came one day after Mario Andrette O'Neill was charged with the rape and murder of Shaniya. O'Neill is the same man police say is captured on a Sanford, N.C., hotel surveillance camera carrying Shaniya to a hotel room a short time after she was reported missing. He is currently being held without bond.

The father didn't say that. I saw the Oprah interview, and he said the mother was always appropriate, and that Shaniya loved her and looked forward to being with her. He said he wasn't aware of drug use by the mother. He was unfamiliar with the behaviors characterized by the police and the media.
