Over 400 medical marijuana shops were ordered to close in California.

They should not legalize weed.

Before you progressive, trendy readers launch your attack, just read this… Put the blunt down. Get the Visine (if you can remember where you put it) and clear up those bloodshot eyes and open them up. Brew some coffee. Slap yourself. You look pathetic. You think that you’re cool and smooth operator, but you look high as a kite and smell like weed – and cologne.

Currently, our conscientious government raises valuable revenue, as it allows, taxes and distributes the sale of alcohol, tobacco, firearms and Big Macs. Liquor and tobacco are terrible products, and are responsible for the death and demise of many. People can’t stop drinking, to save their lives. (I had a nice drink last night). And of course, humans can’t stop smoking those stupid cigarettes. The government and the politicians tell the kids to “just say no”, and the state pimps their money from the tobacco industry, as cigarettes cause the county hospitals a lot of money, due to the health problems of smokers. Consequently, they have borrowed from the future lawsuits funds, such as tobacco, to pay for other stuff.

If it weren’t for the state budget deficit, these politicians would never have become marijuana advocates. They figure that they can raise a billion, toward closing in on budget deficit, by legalizing and taxing the marijuana crop. They say that the deficit will be reduced down to a billion or so – but, the marijuana business will not be the answer to our problems.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, who hit the scene, claiming to be a Reagan conservative, (whatever that is supposed to mean) probably would have never imagined that he would openly speak about the benefit of a marijuana tax. As of now, I suppose that he’s still struggling with himself about whether he is a Reagan conservative, or a “centrist”, (which he has also called himself) if he wants to raise taxes or not, what to veto next, or which special election to hold next (at the taxpayer’s expense). I guess the three hundred dollar marijuana tickets that they gave me, and to others doesn’t match the possible revenue that they could incur by getting in the bud business. It’s harder to run a state than he thought. He spearheaded the recall on former Governor Gray Davis, then came to office on the promise that he would lower everybody’s car registration tax, and subsequently has been thinking of ways to raise funds, run this state efficiently and close the 20-something billion dollar budget gap. As of now, the state already taxes the medical marijuana shops.

After it was legalized for medical purposes, a thousand shops (literally) popped up in Los Angeles County. On Monday, June 7th, Ordinance 181069 was issued in L.A. County to close down the 400 dispensaries that opened up in the last two and a half years. But not to worry – the medical marijuana is now being hand-delivered or mailed by courier services.
