Lack of education is the main probem effecting the black community period. how black people view education in general is still bad, myself included we promote slackers and fun is more important. but the difference was in the late seventies we had a strong manufacturing base to depend on and now that gone. For kids graduating now the situation is worse. The baby boomers kicked out of manufacturing have to stop waiting for jobs and put our heads togeather and make our own money so our kids and grand kids can learn some level of independence from white folks. Also blacks folks like to look like we have things even when were poor as hell and we have become sucker consumers all of that money could be saved and put to good use.
