In the same way that other business sectors did, Companies in the private health sector made public their support for the government’s actions in the negotiations it is carrying out with creditors for the renegotiation of public debt. Through a statement, the entities of the sector expressed “their support and accompaniment to the national government in its management of debt restructuring with private creditors, which will allow generating a scenario of economic predictability to overcome the pandemic, promote private investment and generate jobs. ”
“Reaching an agreement on debt restructuring is a fundamental pillar to get out of the crisis and start to reorder the post-coronavirus economy”, said José Sánchez, president of the Federation of Chambers of Medical Companies and Home Medicine (FEM). The statement was also accompanied by the Confederation of Clinics, Sanatoriums and Hospitals (Confeclisa), the Association of Private Clinics, Sanatoriums and Hospitals of the Argentine Republic (Adecra), the Chamber of Outpatient Diagnostic and Treatment Entities (Cedim) and the Chamber of Health Providers (Cepsal) .
Likewise, the entities recognized “the joint work with the national government, in particular with the authorities of the Ministry of Health of the Nation and the Superintendency of Health Services, which allows us to face in the best way” the Covid-19 pandemic that faces Argentina and which has already caused 403 deaths and almost 10,000 infected.
