Bharti Airtel in partnership with Celkon under ‘Mera Pehla 4G Smartphone’ launched a 4G Android smartphone for Rs 1,349. The actual worth of the mobile is Rs 3,500 but as per the agreement between the two companies, they are providing this 4G Smartphone to the users at the cheap cost Rs 1,349.
In partnership with Karbonn, Mobiles Airtel has already launched its first 4G smartphone Karbonn A4. It is because of having the intention of providing a 4G smartphone to all phone lovers, Bharti Airtel C.E.O Venkatesh Vijay Raghavan said. The smartphones not only available in Airtel and Celkon stores they would available in other Mobile phone stores. Airtel introduces a new special monthly package for this mobile.
The customers would get unlimited calls and 500 MB data per day for 28 days if they recharge their mobiles with Rs 169. Whatever the agreement we made with the Celkon would be applicable throughout the country, Raghavan said.
Celkon Phone features:
The phone comes up with 4- inch FWVGA display. It has dual SIM slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, micro USB port, Android 6.0 Marshmallow, 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage expandable up to 32GB. The device supports 4G LTE and VoLTE. It has a 3.2MP camera on the front and 2MP front camera.
Need to pay Rs 2,849:
The customers need to pay Rs 2,849 to get the 4G smartphone. The users need to recharge their mobiles every month continuously with Rs 169 for 36 months. After 18 months they would get back their first cashback Rs 500. After 36 months they would get back their second cashback Rs 1000.
Those who do not wish to opt for Rs 169 recharge plan they can go for other plans. However, to get the cash back users need to recharge Worth Rs 3000 within the 18 months to get the first cashback (Rs500), again they have to recharge worth Rs 3000 in the next 18 months to get the second cashback (1000)
Celkon Chairman and Managing director Y. Guru said we are estimating that we could sell 5 lakh phones within 2 months. Celkon has a strong brand affinity in the southern Indian market. Within a week we are going to start the works to set up a research and development centre in Hyderabad. We want to establish another manufacturing unit in Hyderabad Guru said.Currently, we are manufacturing 15,000 phones per day and we want to escalate the rate of manufacturing from 15,000 to 30,000, Guru said.
