Coca-Cola company which generally makes Coca-Cola is now ready to introduce its First Alcoholic drink. For the first time, the company is ready to break its own tradition of making a single product since from 125 years to launch the second product. The news was announced by the Coca-Cola company.
This is the first time for the Coca-Coal company to introduce alcoholic drink. The company has chosen country Japan to launch its first alcoholic product. In Japan, Chu-Hi a popular beverage and it is made from a distilled beverage called shochu.
Shochu is a spirit and it is made from sweet potato, barley, rice and other ingredients, and it is distilled. As per the report, this product will have 3 to 8 percent alcohol content. Jorge Garduño Coca-Cola Japan president said We haven’t experimented in the low-alcohol category before.
He said it was a “modest experiment for a specific slice of our market”. But the company did not give any clarity about the selling this drink in other countries. Jorge said in an interview that “This is a canned drink that includes alcohol. Traditionally, it is made with a distilled beverage called shochu and sparkling water, plus some flavouring.
As per the sources, the alcoholic product from the Coca-Cola will be similar to a beer. The company exclusively selling this alcoholic drink in Japan because of the “unique and special” qualities of the nation’s market. The company said the product is still in experimental stage.
In the U.S the soda consumption drops to 30-year low as people showing interest in healthier alternatives in 2016. It is expected that Coca-Coal alcoholic drink will be available in India by 2019. So far the company has concentrated on non-alcoholic beverages but now they are turned to launch its first alcoholic product. So get ready for a new kind of kick in coming days.
