A new feature has been launched by online payment platform Paytm of India. This will make it easier for users of phone features to recharge their phone. Customers can now recharge their Vodafone-idea number using just a valid UPI ID. Paytm will work with Vodafone-idea and Indian National Payments Corporation (NPCI) to expand service nationwide. That move would help millions of customers who don’t have a smartphone who need to recharge to hit the shops.
The company said that the use of of this service does not require mobile-internet details, as well as non-Paytm device users can also easily take advantage of this service. Paytm said the service is based on the latest payment mechanism from NPCI * 99 # which operates on the platform of unstructured supplementary service data (USSD). This service makes purchases through mobile banking using simple feature phones.
Additionally, the use of USID-based banking is not required for mobile Internet data. Paytm’s goal is to put half the Indian population into the mainstream economy. The organization has taken another step in the same direction, taking part in this campaign to ensure that millions of expatriates who are separated from home and live with little means keep in contact with their families.
