The renowned benchmark application Antutu has just published its ranking of cell phone processors, calling the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 5G the most powerful today. This processor is in the high-end of 2020 and is closely followed by the Samsung Exynos 990 . The bet of the Korean brand is found in some models of the Galaxy S20, since depending on the region in which it is sold it uses the Snapdragon 865 5G or the Exynos 990.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus, released in the second half of 2019, ranks third. Phones like the Galaxy Z Flip, Asus ROG Phone 2 and the OnePlus 7T include it. In a fourth place is the HiSilicon 990 5G, the Huawei bet that comes in the Huawei P40 Pro and Huawei P40. MediaTek just came in at No. 9 with the Dimensional 1000L, seen on the Oppo Reno 3.
The mid-range is just represented at the MediaTek Dimensity 820, which will arrive on the Xiaomi Redmi 10X to be announced on May 26 .What can we get out of this? A high-end of 2019 exceeds in power any mid-range of 2020, and even most of 2018 (if they use a Snapdragon 845) represent a better value proposition if we take into account “premium” features such as water resistance. If you get a good deal, it’s a good interesting one this year.
