One more country to release electronic visas Uzbekistan
Electronic visas have been around for quite some time now, and people get more and more used to the idea. They also like the idea of applying online, which spares them the hassle of visiting an embassy. If you have ever been through the consular application process, then you must know why travelers are so happy to embrace the electronic application system.
Since its inception, the electronic visa also referred to as an e-visa, has been adopted by more and more countries. Unfortunately, not all of them accepted it in their visa policy, but looking at how things are going, we could say that the online application system is on the right track. A significant number of countries have already adopted the system. One of the latest countries to adopt the electronic system in Uzbekistan. After long considerations, its government decided that it is a good idea, and the effects, such as a tourism boost, may actually be beneficial for the country’s economy. The electronic visa went live on July 15, 2018.
The Uzbekistan electronic visa allows the citizens of 51 states to enter the country without going to an embassy. The process is entirely online, and while people have multiple options online, most of them use third-party companies that apply to them. All you have to do to apply is provide a few documents and some information about yourself and the trip. Once you do that, the third-party company in question will handle the rest so that your efforts are close to non-existent. To avoid any delays, it is recommended that you apply at least three days before your departure date.
As for requirements, the Uzbekistan electronic visa does not entail too many documents. In fact, the most important requirement you need to check off the list is the passport. Even so, that is easy to obtain. If you already have one, take a look at its expiry date and make sure that it is valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival in Uzbekistan. Once you meet all the conditions, you can go on and apply.
The document you receive has a 90-day validity, and you are allowed to stay inside the Uzbekistan borders for maximum 30 days. The visa also grants you a single entry, so if you get out of the country, a new entry entails another visa. Nevertheless, the 30-day period is more thane enough for tourism purposes.
Along with the electronic visa, Uzbekistan also allows visa-free transit for the citizens of over 100 countries. That means you do not have to apply for a visa if you are just passing by. That was not a possibility in the past. Just do not forget to check your eligibility before thinking of applying. The list of eligible nationalities will probably grow as it happened in many cases, but until that happens, you need to be as well informed as possible.
The whole purpose of this initiative is the same as for every other country that adopted the electronic visa, and that is a boost in international tourism. It is way too early to talk about benefits since the initiative has just taken off, but if it worked for other countries, there is no reason to not work for Uzbekistan as well. Travelers are often put off by a complicated and
